To begin with, these students have a different style of learning. They are accustom to obtaining information instantly and using technology in almost every facet of their lives. Using out-dated methods to teach this new breed of students would impede their learning. It reminds me of Darwin’s survival of the fittest theory. These students adapting to their new environment in order to survive in the digital world. Teachers must help them make this transition; however, most students are more tech savvy than their instructors are. Teachers are uncomfortable and lack knowledge in teaching using technology.
